[ One would ordinarily not expect a school idol unit to be invited to this sort of party - but it merely attested to the fame and ability of Galaxy Standard. The group split up after formal introductions were over, Asuma and Bantaro having immediately gravitated towards the food and the other two going off somewhere else. It's rare that Shizuma isn't with him, but he's used to these things. Perhaps the relationer had been occupied with something else.

For now, he's out on the patio with a glass of sparkling lemonade held between two fingers (he's not legal yet), just casually standing close to a wall and watching the other people come and go. Masato doesn't fail to catch his attention, what with the other's expression and rather obvious blue hair. It's even brighter than his own.

He'll watch Masato for another half-minute. If the other doesn't notice him first, he'll probably come over after that. ]

[pianosongs]

[While Masato isn't particularly on watch, he's observant enough to notice the individuals in the area. He spots Reiji, but only gives him a courteous nod as he sees him looking over before making his way to the balcony railing to look over. He's mingled with very few individuals at the event, by pure choice, and honestly finds a good relief in just being on his own.

At least it's a nice night. Sorry, Reiji, you'll have to make the first move for this reserved kid.]

[heiring]

[ Masato has an interesting eye colour. That, more than anything else, spurs him to approach on a whim. ]

Hey. How's it going?

[ It's a simple sentence to begin with, while he takes a position next to Masato with his drink. He's not too close to intrude on the other's personal space, nor too far to be rude - just testing the waters. ]

[pianosongs]

[The new company intrigues him more than concerns him. He isn't sure why he of any people would garner anyone's interest, but who is he to turn down kind company? He spares a small smile.]

It's a nice evening out. Have you been enjoying your time here?

[He's so young, too... Around Masato's age when STARISH had first been created.]

[heiring]

[ Masato has a certain air about him - he's quiet but not withdrawn, it's interesting. ]

Yeah, I have. It's nice to be able to meet fellows, that's for sure. Who did you come with?

[ Reiji's not even eighteen, it's probably evident in his looks. But he's by no means immature. ]

[pianosongs]

I'm glad. It's a pleasant affair, it's good that everyone seems to be having a good time.

[Being around him, Masato remembers seeing his face. He'd taken the liberty of looking up the different groups in attendance, but only a handful were this young. He racks his brain for a moment.]

I'm from STARISH, under Shining Agency. And you're from... Galaxy Standard, is it?

[heiring]

[ Oh, Masato recognizes him! That's a pleasant surprise. ]

Yeah. I'm the leader, Suwa Reiji. [ And since Reiji is also the type to pay attention to names: ] Hijirikawa Masato, right? Nice to meet you.

[ Have a handshake. Whether Masato decides to take it is another matter, however. ]

[pianosongs]

[It's strange being greeted by handshakes instead of bows, but Masato is ajudged to the move. He clasps Reiji's hand with his own and gives it a small, almost delicate, shake. He also finds himself rather pleased that Reiji knew his name; it means he did his own studying as well.]

A pleasure to meet you as well, Suwa-san.

[heiring]

[ It's unconventional, especially from someone with a traditional background like him - but he's in his idol phase now, those things don't matter. What does matter is keeping up his image.

There's a short pause as he casts around for a suitable topic to start with. ]

It's kind of loud inside, isn't it? Plus, you can see a lot more things from here.

[ He means the night skyline. Not people. ]

[pianosongs]

[Masato nods, returning to leaning on his forearms on the railing.]

It's pleasant, far more peaceful when the noise is rather muted.

['Noise' being the pure chaos of the music or the laughter of those running about elsewhere, but he speaks fondly. He doesn't mind it as much, given that they can see the night sky from here.]

Are you not a big fan of parties? Despite how many I've attended, I can't say they're my favorite of celebratory activities.

[heiring]

[ Reiji tilts his head a little before answering, letting thoughtfulness take over his expression for a couple of seconds. ]

Too many people creates chaos, yes. I prefer smaller gatherings. You tend to have more meaningful conversations that way.

[ Such as the one they're having now. Speaking of which... ]

I'm curious - you aren't new to these sorts of gatherings, yes? Do you usually come out to more airy places?
