[ He takes a sip from his coffee as Lapis sits down, the motion crossfading into a smooth shrug. ]

Nothing I couldn't handle. I'm just waiting for my brother to come pick me up.

[ His relaxed manner is charming, but it hides something sharper too. He just chooses to not show it.

Though, he puts down his cup and starts rifling through his wallet, pulling out a slip of paper. ]

I'm going to put up a show with my unit sometime next month. I'd love it if you could come.

[Lapis has a hunch that calm, charming demeanour hides something, but it's not her place to question or ask. So she nods at his words once she sits, taking a moment to stretch aching legs - it's rare she gets a chance to actually sit.

Another soft sigh now escaping her as she rests her elbows on her knees, chin in her hands - golden eyes peeking over as he searches through his wallet. Only to then blink, perking up just slightly.]

Huh? [For once her usual calmness shatters are she blinks at him, the action almost owlish. It's very rare anything like, well, this happens.]

Oh, I mean, I would be happy to come! I'll make sure my schedule is freed up for that day.

[ They're not a particularly big group, so he's sure that he'll be able to see the attendees one by one. Perks for being not too famous is that they get to enjoy the lack of media attention. ]

My siblings will be going too, so you won't be alone there.

[That gets a smile, even if it only lasts for a moment - luckily being a designer means she'll be able to dress as nicely as possible for the occasion. The last time she went to a concert was... Never, actually.

I have some shows to get ready for before then... [Now he's pouting, so she'll relent. A little.]

But I have some vacation days to use, so I'll try to use them.

[ He puts a finger to his chin as if in thought, before narrowing his eyes a little. ]

Now make that 'try' a 'definitely', miss!

But the new seasons line needs to be done soon.

But then she sighs softly, relenting just a little. Only a little.]

But alright, I'll definitely use some of my vacation days. I promise.

[ He often has to wonder if she's overcompensating for something. ]

[The answer to that would be 'yes very much so'.

But that's not something she ever plans to talk about - instead just quietly debating over any plans she may have for later. Most involving eating and taking a very long bath.]

Mmhm, I've got a book to finish and some ice cream to eat. [As long as she doesn't get called in to do some extra work - which she probably will because workaholic.]
