two immortals walk into a bar
Come, all ye immortals... ![]() You walk into a bar. Maybe you were given a ticket by a fellow passing immortal, or had the prescience to obtain one yourself - whichever it is, the well-polished key will take you to an establishment that operates outside the confinements of spacetime. A bar exclusively for immortals, whether you were born this way or attained it as a mortal being. Gods, demons, vampires - no matter what you are, you are welcome here. It serves a myraid of drinks and snacks catered to the tastes of every world, so it's easy to find something palatable (even including human souls, if that's your preferred food). A corridor leads down the lounge to a variety of other rooms. Opening a door would transform it into a pool room, a singing room, or perhaps a quiet place for meditation. The establishment responds to the will of its patrons - as long as you behave, you will be allowed to stay here for as long as you like. Come in and take a seat. Maybe there's someone looking for you. |

My Halls are not Dark, Child. I may have the reputation of enjoying shadows and darkness, all that is associated with death, but there is far more than that. I will not show you, for I do not want you in my Halls. They have seen too many of your family already. [HUFF]
Nelyafinwe is particularly vocal about not budging without knowing you are waiting for his Rebirth. Daily demands for updates on your person.

[ Maglor stammers and then stills ]
Nelyo is? [ Such a tiny spark of hope ]

[Affection shines in his gaze and the smile is hopefully less frightening this time.]
He has much to say, and I have not the right to tell you for him. Only that he wishes dearly to see you himself.

[ Tiny tiny flame, sparking ever brighter ]
But I thought... you said... forever.
[ Softly ]
Nelyo's... alright. He's safe. Oh...

[Namo gives skilled fingers a gentle squeeze.]
He will be much better once he has you with him, safe. Some healing can only be done in special circumstances.

But all I've done has turned out wrong.
[ He looks away ]
People I love always go away. It's better if I'm not there.

[He frowns and tugs on Maglor's hands.]
Do not turn this chance aside. Your family is not better with you missing, they are incomplete. They cannot have the chance to fully heal without you with them.

But... they'll... only leave again
no subject
Why would people who have been hounding my doorstep for centuries leave you again should you deign to grace them with your company?
no subject
[ He blinks, eternally confused ]
You mean you... want them to leave?
[ ISNT DAD SUPPOSED TO BE IN THERE FOR ETERNITY OR SOMETHIGN ]

Maglor, Child...No Child of Our Father is meant to stay in my Halls forever. I want them to be empty, not full of the children of Feanaro, and Feanaro himself.

Even... father?
no subject
Yes. Even your father.
no subject
I... really can go home?
no subject
You have my word that you may come home. You may travel by land or ship, the way is open to you.
no subject
If... yes. I want... to come home...
no subject
How shall we get you home? There is one more option, that does not involve my Halls and takes no passing of time.
no subject
One more...?
no subject
I will let no harm come to you along the way, whichever your choice. If you chose option three, I will bend time and space and deliver us to the gardens of Lorien.
no subject
I... how does that work?
no subject
We helped create this world. The Music can be used more than even you have discovered and mastered.
no subject
[ But he's curious now, that much is clear ]
no subject
Indeed. I can bring you with me, in this instance. If you choose to allow it.

Instead he smiles down at the elf and nods before wrapping his cloak around them and willing them to a currently unoccupied part of his brother's gardens. He lets his cloak drop again and loosens his hold, though is there if Maglor needs support.]
Welcome home, Child.
