two immortals walk into a bar

Come, all ye immortals...

You walk into a bar. Maybe you were given a ticket by a fellow passing immortal, or had the prescience to obtain one yourself - whichever it is, the well-polished key will take you to an establishment that operates outside the confinements of spacetime. A bar exclusively for immortals, whether you were born this way or attained it as a mortal being.

Gods, demons, vampires - no matter what you are, you are welcome here. It serves a myraid of drinks and snacks catered to the tastes of every world, so it's easy to find something palatable (even including human souls, if that's your preferred food).

A corridor leads down the lounge to a variety of other rooms. Opening a door would transform it into a pool room, a singing room, or perhaps a quiet place for meditation. The establishment responds to the will of its patrons - as long as you behave, you will be allowed to stay here for as long as you like.

Come in and take a seat. Maybe there's someone looking for you.

I wonder where all these people came from...

Which way did you come in?

[If he and Muscovy came from the same door or direction in this place, that'd make sense, wouldn't it? But surely not everybody came to this same place. Firo's thoughts are running right alongside Muscovy's.]
muscovy: (Is that so?)

[Muscovy does, indeed, lead him to the exact door that Firo came through as well.]

I followed you in, yes?

[But Firo will notice that there is a safety warning above the door: "You must think of you own world as you step through the door, or the owners of the premises may not be held accountable for what happens."]

And you didn't say hi until now?

[He's joking! Really.

He hums to himself as he inspects the sign.]

It must be some weird technology these people're messing with... Whoever put this place together in the first place.

[He doesn't know, come to think of it. It could be anyone with any sort of motive.]

What do you think? Should we stick around this place or go back?

[Or... try to go somewhere else? But he doesn't like the idea of taking such a risk with Muscovy, even if they are both immortal.]

I waited outside for you to come back, but you never did, so I went in after you.

[He sat outside the door for a good long while, staring happily at it until Firo would return.

Huh. He never thought about that.]
I don't know who made this place, either. [Or who runs it now. He doesn't think that the people behind the bar know; they just seem to man it because it's fun and they feel like someone should.] Everything just seems to appear. [Saying it like that, it does sound a bit like the Tranquility...]

We could see if I can show you my home, too!

Muscovy is a PRECIOUS little brother

[But you never did

Damn. Firo might be squirming just a bit at the thought of what his vanishing act might've looked like to Muscovy. Did the kid think he'd abandoned him? He doesn't seem sad, but--!]

Oh, uh... Sorry about that...

[The apology sounds weak, even to him; you can't just apologize for something like that to someone you love. He decides instead to try to ride the wave of enthusiasm about going to Muscovy's home. Try to make him happy.]

You want to give it a shot? All right, so I should think about your place... You said it was a cold, right?

[Though, the sign says he should think of his home. But wouldn't that just send him there instead of Muscovy's place? Better just not to worry about it too much--he hates having to think too hard.]
