Come, all ye immortals... You walk into a bar. Maybe you were given a ticket by a fellow passing immortal, or had the prescience to obtain one yourself - whichever it is, the well-polished key will take you to an establishment that operates outside the confinements of spacetime. A bar exclusively for immortals, whether you were born this way or attained it as a mortal being. Gods, demons, vampires - no matter what you are, you are welcome here. It serves a myraid of drinks and snacks catered to the tastes of every world, so it's easy to find something palatable (even including human souls, if that's your preferred food). A corridor leads down the lounge to a variety of other rooms. Opening a door would transform it into a pool room, a singing room, or perhaps a quiet place for meditation. The establishment responds to the will of its patrons - as long as you behave, you will be allowed to stay here for as long as you like. Come in and take a seat. Maybe there's someone looking for you. [ this meme is for nonhuman characters who have lifespans longer than humans. OU, AU, OC, whichever goes! ]

[ Even more luckily for her, it seems like the bar has an even population of recent and veteran immortals. Angels and demons occupy their respective corners, with a few boisterous youkai setting up a drinking game at one end. Zoe's gaze might be drawn to someone sitting by himself - his celestial aura is faint, but the more pressing issue is that he's also staring at her.

A mutual staring contest, with each trying to not make the act obvious. ]

[It was only a matter of time until Zoe found her eyes drawn to someone also sitting alone, who also had a celestial aura, although faint. And was also staring at her.

She hums quietly into her glass, debating whether to prolong the staring match or approach. Eventually the second option outweighs the other as "the most fun", so she drains her glass before hopping to her feet, heels clicking against the floor.

Then, as if it's the most natural thing, she approaches Ain and slides smoothly into the seat next to him - a wide smirk now tugging at the corner of her lips.]

Anything I can help you with, sir? You seemed to be staring pretty intensely.

[ Ain has tried to stir his drink a few times to appear normal, but it has failed a little as his drink is just a glass of juice and one doesn't really stir something with a straw. Still, it's not something he realizes.

The fact that she actually gets up is out of his expectation, and he has to quickly rearrange his expression to one of suitable composure. And she calls him sir, which is... reassuring, in some ways. ]

I could say the same for you.

[It's something that Zoe realises, though, and she has to resist the urge to laugh - though her smirk does widen just a bit. Though she laughs anyway at his response, grinning brightly as she reclines back in her seat, her words said completely cheerily and without any shame.]

You were so handsome that I simply couldn't tear my eyes away! [This is not the right answer, she's just being an ass.

But she keeps grinning at Ain, content to be more of a troll than actually serious.] Do I dare hope you were staring at me for the same reason?

[ Yeah, he can tell that she's being an ass. What does she take him for, a human? Though there's also the contradictory desire to preen himself a little, because he's an emissary of his Goddess and he should be handsome enough to be worthy of it. ]

Oh, no. I was merely looking at the light you cast. [ Angelic aura and all. ]</small. Whom do you serve?

[If anything, his response gets her to laugh even more - it's certainly a refreshing reaction! So her smile stays in place, shifting so that she can rest her chin against laced fingers, elbows now placed on the table.]

Hmm, so serious. But I was doing the same. [Though her smile falters, just slightly, when he asks who she serves. She would rather not think about that - but that's what acting flippant about it is for.]

God, just a God. Or The God, for some people. [A wave of her hand, before it shifts back under her chin.] What about you? I'm sure your answer is much more interesting.

[ She's very... human-like, down to the elbow-on-tables manner. He's not quite sure how to feel about it, an angel having human mannerisms. However, to call her out on it would mean being hypocritical of himself.

So, with an expression of loyalty bordering on smugness: ]

I am an emissary of the Goddess Ishmael. She gave life to the barren land of Elrios.

[Zoe is very proud of her human-like mannerisms!!

Though her thoughts are less on that, and more on her new victim companion, almost feeling envious of how loyal he is to his Goddess. Things would've been so much easier if she felt the same way about her God.]

I've never heard of either, but your Goddess sounds powerful. [She is being genuine now, smile fading as she regards him with a curious look. Most other angels back home would never talk to her beyond missions, so time to barrage Ain with questions.]

But you're an emissary? What's your mission?

[eldain]

[ It's a good thing they decided to bother each other, what with how willing Ain is to go on a long exposition about his aligned deity. ]

It is my duty to restore the El energy that has weakened in the mortal world. [ His expression now shifts to one of suitable disapproval, though still mild to maintain his impression of being well-mannered. ] The humans received this gift from the Goddess, yet they misuse it and caused it to decline. It's such a shame, really.

[ The Goddess loves humans, yet he can't understand why. They're so dumb sometimes. ]
